 Anybus X-gateway™

Certified and proven industrial gateway family connecting almost any two industrial networks. Over 200 versions available, all very easy to configure and install. No extra programming required!

Connecting Industrial Networks and PLC worlds
The Anybus X-gateway family is a product line consisting of over 200 different products aimed to connect almost every possible combination of two industrial networks. The product family supports 17 different fieldbus networks such as Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen and CC-Link as well as industrial Ethernet versions supporting Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus-TCP and EtherCAT. The X-gateways are designed for use in industrial automation plants where increasingly many different networks are used. The X-gateways help system integrators to easily inter-connect any two networks, enabling consistent information flow throughout the entire plant.

Compatible with all leading PLC manufacturers
X-gateways are tested and proven with all leading manufacturers of PLC's such as, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, ABB, Omron, Hitachi, Beckhoff, Pheonix Contact, Bosch Rexroth and more

Easy installation - No programming required!
No programming skills are needed to set up the X-gateway as they contain a built-in configuration interface. As factory default the X-gateways have a pre-defined I/O size of 20 bytes I/O. In addition to the built-in configuration interface, versions containing a master interface require the usage of an appropriate master configuration tool.

Fast transparent data transfer between the two networks
The X-gateways primary focus is with the transfer of cyclic I/O data between two networks. In addition, and depending on network combinations, also acyclic parameter data can be transferred. The transfer time between the two networks is typically 10-15ms.

Included OPC server for extended functionality
Connect PC based OPC-Client applications via standard Ethernet networks and the X-gateway to all major fieldbus networks. The Anybus OPC Server enables any PC-based OPC DA client application to access data of distributed field devices located in a fieldbus network without the need for a PCI fieldbus interface card.

Designed for harsh industrial environments
The X-gateways have been designed for use in harsh industrial environments featuring standard DIN rail mounting, IP20 rating and 24 Volt DC power supply. X-gateways are certified with hazardous location classifications such as ATEX and UL1604. They are intelligent stand alone devices supporting fan less operation and industrial operating temperature range. No moving mechanical parts or operating systems are used.

Anybus Serial Server

The Anybus Serial Server connects devices with an RS-232 or RS-485 interface via Ethernet to a virtual COM-Port of a Windows PC. The virtual COM-Port on the PC is created by the SerialIP driver Software, which is included in the scope of supply
PC applications designed to access devices via physical COM-Ports, can access the remote device without any software modifications via the Serial Server and the Ethernet network. The Serial Server and its Software driver can be viewed as a long “virtual” serial cable.
Anybus Serial Server has advanced features for the processing of real time protocols such as Modbus-RTU, Siemens MPI and DF1. This allows remote configuration of Schneider Electric, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs via the Internet.
